To recover family values is the hope of humanity

“It fills us with happiness to know how growing up as a family, living together as a family, relating as a family, loving the family and praying as a family are values that we must recover. Returning to our origin fills us with hope,” said Rev. Fr. Robin Jose Zambrano, Parish Priest of St. John Marie Vianney in La Silsa, Caracas, Ven.

Within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the Canonical Erection of the Parish St. John Marie Vianney, located in La Silsa, Catia, Caracas, the Family Ministry of the Archdiocese of Caracas in alliance with the Public Association of the Faithful Betania Spirituality Movement presented their workshop: “School for families and reconciliation.”

The workshop took place with the assistance of families from the Oropeza Chapel and the Parishes of Catia La Mar, Ntra. Sra. del Carmen, Ntra. Sra. del Valle, S. Juan Bautista, S. Juan Maria Vianney, Sta. Carmen Salles and Sta. María Goretti. The event was held on Saturday, October 21 and 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 m., under the direction of Rev. Fr. Franklin Manrique, Rev. Fr. Robin Zambrano and BComm. Maria Coromoto Bianchini Marrero. The units were given by Fr. Zambrano, Psych. Carmen Emilia Behrens, Prof. Jose Luis Granados and Dr. Raquel Florville. The content is meant to be a projection of the spirituality of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza Medrano Bianchini, messenger of Our Lady of Betania, who was a wife, mother, grandmother and evangelizer, while she spread the message of love, reconciliation and family unity.

Father Zambrano described the workshop as a very positive initiative and commented that expectations had been exceeded in the number of participants from different parts of the city, who were motivated to acquire these tools and knowledge on building solid families: “This visit enriched us and allowed us to reinforce and revive beautiful concepts about the family, forgiveness, mercy, and growing in holiness; which is one of the goals and invitations of Pope Francis.”
