The 22nd anniversary of the passing of the Servant of God María Esperanza Medrano Bianchini was warmly commemorated by many Venezuelans and foreigners. Following her death on August 7, 2004, she left a legacy of faith, hope, reconciliation, and service to the Church and mankind.
Her life was marked by a profound trust in God, a filial devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and a constant call to live out the Gospel through family life, prayer, and the sacraments. Today, her message continues to illuminate the path of thousands of people who find in her teachings and legacy a guide to building a world full of hope, founded on the love of God.
“When people pray more, when families gather to pray the Holy Rosary, when everyone sits down at the table to share a meal, and sleeps under the same roof, those families will live in peace, and evil will not be able to enter. They will be covered by grace, under the mantle of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I believe that when humanity takes refuge in the Heart of the Mother of Jesus, family separations will cease to exist.” Servant of God María Esperanza.
As part of the commemoration of this anniversary, on Friday, August 7, 2026, her family, friends, and spiritual children gathered at her tomb in the Eastern Cemetery in La Guairita to pray the Holy Rosary. Following the prayer, the community participated in a Mass concelebrated by two bishops and seven priests in the Transfiguration of the Lord Church, in El Cafetal, Caracas.
Servant of God María Esperanza, pray for your beloved Venezuela, your family, and your spiritual children!
