On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the Sanctuary of Betania and the Betania Spirituality Movement had the honor of welcoming the new Bishop of Los Teques, His Excellency Bishop Alberto Valentín Castillo García, for his first official visit as prelate.
It was a blessed day of prayer, closeness, and communion, which filled the confirmands from the surrounding areas, their families, and pilgrims with hope, as the young men and women received the sacrament of Confirmation and the blessing of His Excellency.
We give thanks to God for his pastoral visit. We entrust his ministry to Our Blessed Virgin Mary, Reconciler of All Peoples and Nations, praying that she may continue to guide, accompany, and strengthen him on this new journey in service to our diocese.
