Maracaibo, Zulia. — In an atmosphere imbued with faith, hope, and profound devotion, the Betania Spirituality Movement participated in the 10th “Grace and Mercy” Encounter on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the majestic Maracaibo Fine Arts Center. This moving event, faithful to the tradition of previous years, was held in homage to Saint Faustina Kowalska, apostle of Divine Mercy, and brought together the faithful, families, and volunteers.
The event was organized by Mr. José Luis Matheus, President of the Public Association of the Faithful “Mary, Way to Jesus,” along with his dedicated team. The encounter featured the participation of Dr. Samir Gebran; his wife, Engineer María Gracia Bianchini Gebran; and their daughter, Engineer María Gracia. Also present were Engineer Giovanni Bianchini and his wife, Mrs. Anabella Hernández de Bianchini, as well as Architect Rosalba Peña, all of whom shared personal testimonies.
The gathering opened with a heartfelt reflection led by María Gracia Bianchini, who transported attendees to the land of Betania with her words: “It doesn’t matter if you are sick or healthy; what matters most is the soul that God has given us and that He has come to prepare. Each of us has a mission in life… God has a wonderful plan for each of us.”
Another poignant moment was the discussion about the life and work of Servant of God María Esperanza Bianchini, celebrating the theological virtues that marked her journey and her exemplary fidelity to the Church. The speakers also honored the memory of Mr. Geo Bianchini, recalling him as a beacon of love, service, and Christian witness within the home.
The day culminated with the celebration of Holy Mass, presided over by Father Rafael Villalobos. In his homily, he reminded those present that “holiness is built in the everyday details, through heroic virtues”. He also shared a deeply personal testimony about an experience in Betania that inspired his priestly vocation, leaving a lasting impression of emotion and faith among those present.
