During the 20th anniversary of the passing from this world of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza Bianchini, messenger of Our Lady Reconciler of All Peoples, better known as Our Lady of Betania, Rev. Fr. Ramon Vinke, a distinguished Venezuelan historian, presented his new book entitled “Story of a Domestic Church: A Gathering with the Children of Maria Esperanza”
At St. Rosalia of Palermo Church, in El Hatillo, on August 7, 2024, when Fr. Vinke addressed the audience for his book presentation, he said: “The intention of this volume is to make known the testimony of the Christian life of Maria Esperanza, her husband and children. That is why ‘Domestic Church’ is in my title. This first phase covers up to 1984, showing how the family lived their faith: praying the Rosary, meditating on the Word of God and caring for those who needed guidance.”
In addition, he highlighted that the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin in the Betania Sanctuary in 1984, made sense within the context of an experience of faith in the family.
The preface was written by His Eminence Cardinal Baltazar Porras Cardozo, who suggested the book should be followed by future editions. The prologue was written by Bishop Emeritus Ovidio Perez Morales, in which he highlighted relevant aspects of the publication.
