Record number of pilgrims for guided tour in the Sanctuary of Betania and Finca Betania

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, the Sanctuary of Betania once again became the epicenter of a day of faith, love and meditation, under the guidance of four distinguished Priests: Rev. Fr. Antonio Alejandro Rivas Garcia, Rector of the Sanctuary; Rev. Fr. Franklin Manrique of the Parish Maria, Madre del Redentor; Rev. Fr. Esneiro Reverol of the Parish Santo Cristo de La Vega and Rev. Fr. Raymundo Totolhua of the Parish Santa Rosa de Lima, in Charallave.

More than 400 pilgrims who came from Santo Cristo de La Vega and El 23 de Enero in Caracas, Amigos de Dios from Los Chorros, Maria Madre del Redentor from Los Naranjos, students from the St. Rose of Lima Institute of Pastoral Theology for Laity in Charallave and 73 members of the Betania Spirituality Movement gathered to participate in the Holy Eucharist, a retreat and guided tour, coordinated by the BSM.

During the homily, Fr. Raymundo highlighted the importance of Marian devotion, and recalled the message of hope and strength that the Virgin Mary transmitted to Saint Juan Diego in Guadalupe, “Am I not here, I who am your Mother?” Likewise, he exhorted the faithful to find comfort and encouragement in the loving presence of Our Lady Reconciler of All Peoples, Our Lady of Betania, especially in times of adversity and when commemorating with her the great mystery, heart of the Church, of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
