Our neighbor and Pentecost

“Another goes his way a weakling and a failure, with little strength and great misery – Yet the eyes of the Lord look favorably upon him”(Eclo 11: 12).

Pope Francis says: “The merciful person is the one who has pity on others and shares in their suffering.”* Inspired by the Pope’s call and the inheritance of charity without limits left by the Servant of God Maria Esperanza Bianchini, the Betania Foundation youth prepared one hundred balanced and exquisite lunches on Saturday, June 3, 2017, and went to the streets of Caracas to share with the poor and needy. It was a day that left them full of the immense love of sharing with Jesus in the needy.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Rom 15:13).

With fervor and great joy the feast of Pentecost, the day of the Holy Spirit, was celebrated in the Sanctuary of Betania. Father Jhonfer Camacho, rector of the sanctuary, offered the Eucharist for the eternal rest of Mr. Geo Bianchini in the fifth month of his passing: “He is the father of this shrine, together with the Servant of God Maria Esperanza. They were the ones who received the mission of this land of grace, so that it would become light for everyone.” Then members of the Betania Foundation, led by two daughters of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza, Maria Gracia Gebran and Maria Coromoto Marrero, with their respective husbands, went to the farm to enjoy a light meal in the Sugar Mill and then make a tour around the facilities, praying and reflecting on the Holy Spirit, his gifts and fruits.
