“I Come With My Son in Arms to Reconcile All of You”
The thirty-eighth anniversary of the first apparition of the Virgin Mary in Venezuelan territory will be celebrated on March 25th, 2014 at the Diocesan Marian Sanctuary of Betania, Mary, Reconciler of Peoples, located between Cua and San Casimiro.
“I come with my Son in arms to reconcile all of you.” This phrase is part of the message that the Blessed Virgin gave to the Servant of God Maria Esperanza Bianchini on March 25, 1976.
Reconciliation in general means to repair a broken relationship. The American priest Timothy Byerley, vice-postulator of the cause of beatification of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza, said she had had a deep relationship with Christ through the Virgin. This exemplifies vertical reconciliation with God which leads to the horizontal reconciliation, that is to say, reconciliation among brothers. To achieve this, the person must take the first step, must have the desire to reconcile. This first step must begin with the family, which sometimes is divided and doesn’t even remember the reason for such separation, thus the importance to move towards reconciliation hastily. The Servant of God said that without reconciliation there could be no peace in the world, that brothers with different ideologies and beliefs needed to be respected through the love of Jesus, because love is the commandment He left. She urged to start reconciliation with a smile, a handshake, or a kind word.
Father Byerley recalled that Mrs. Bianchini asserted that the great moment of reconciliation was at hand. This is a message of great hope in these times.
Everyone is invited to take advantage of the supernatural dimension the presence of the Virgin in Venezuela brings, as Reconciler of All Nations, in order to achieve unity among Venezuelans, and all peoples and nations. If God has allowed his Mother to appear, it is because it is the moment of the awakening of consciences and for everyone to unite as children of God.
To celebrate such an important occasion, the activities in Finca Betania will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24th. Rosaries, an Hour of adoration, concerts, and other activities will be held during the morning. At 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, Mass will be celebrated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Los Teques, His Excellency Freddy Fuenmayor, accompanied by the music of the Betania Choir.
