Dear Readers:

We are pleased to present you the new videos of the Betania Choir!

In 2020, the Betania Choir continues to evangelize through song, despite social distancing:

Let us pray “Our Father” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WofamauJR6A), the most exalted prayer to our Heavenly Father, the Creator, for the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the gift of fortitude, peace, solidarity, hope, unity and reconciliation in all the hearts and homes of the world. Musical arrangement by Gabriel Gentile.

Followed by the music piece “You are Peter” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssl6Ch8hqzk), musical arrangement by Brother Gregorio Francisco Lanz, that the choir has prepared in support of our beloved Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church; rock and foundation in Saint Peter, the apostle.

Both songs are included in the CD “Betania, Light of the World”.

Our Lady of Betania opens a new path – We are instruments of hope

This year, due to the situation of the pandemic, it was not possible to celebrate the Eucharist as it was usually held in the chapel of the Eastern Cemetery, to honor the Servant of God Maria Esperanza Bianchini, messenger of Our Lady of Betania, on her 16th anniversary of her passing. Thanks to the good offices of the Parish Priest of Santa Rosalia de Palermo, of El Hatillo, Father Angel Rios, it was possible to celebrate Mass at the residence of the Bianchini family, transmitting it livestream via Zoom to all the Betania Communities established in the world. More than 223 families had the privilege of participating in this beautiful and heartfelt Mass officiated by Father Juan Carlos Silva, Parish Priest of Santa Rosalia de Caracas. Children and grandchildren of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza, who belong to the Betania Choir, accompanied this ceremony with their songs.

Before beginning Mass, Father Timothy Byerley, representative of the Communities of Betania III and XI in the USA, addressed a few words to all the participants of this transmission via Internet: “The Betania family is an international movement and today we are all united as the Servant of God Maria Esperanza would have liked us to be, so that the idea of reconciliation that the world so badly needs today is possible.” He also referred to the fundamental role that Our Lady of Betania plays, under the title of Reconciler of All Peoples in attaining this unity, “Her message is the same message of her Son: To love God and brothers, this is what unity means.” He also asserted that “despite the fact that the situation in the world looks quite negative, we are on the verge of an enormous victory for God, and that victory is love, the victory of divine love.”

Father Silva, during his homily, thanked Reverend Father Rios for the permission of allowing them to have this cult, and pointed out: “Within the framework of this celebration, the entire Betania Foundation, which extends throughout the world, has united through social networks for this Eucharist to glorify God for his mercy on us and for the work done in our Servant of God María Esperanza.” Likewise, he reflected on the universality of the catholicity of the foundation, spread throughout the world and gathered under a single pastor: “Today the Betania Foundation gives a lesson on what union means in the confession of a single faith, under the unity of our Holy Father Pope Francis.” Similarly, in relation to the Servant of God Maria Esperanza, Father Juan Carlos said: “Through her life, her love and her actions, and from so much consolation that she brought to many anguished souls she was able to exude the sweet smell of Christ.” Like Father Byerley, he expressed that reconciliation with Christ and among brothers is urgent, and that, “the Blessed Virgin in Betania opened a path that manifests the work of God that is unstoppable, because wherever the foundation is Christ and Mary are, and in Christ and Mary we recover from our great miseries, turning into instruments of hope and peace. Our Servant of God was an instrument and continues to be a privileged instrument of God’s love, who comes to reconcile her people and heal tremendous wounds”.

After Mass, the mini choir offered a small concert, and some members of the family and foundation shared their experiences with the Servant of God Maria Esperanza.

The month of May came to an end

On Sunday, May 31, 2020, on the Solemnity of Pentecost, with a beautiful reflection of Father Timothy Byerley from the USA, referring to one of the messages of Our Lady of Betania; the coronation of the Virgin Mary Reconciler of All Peoples; and songs from the Mini Betania Choir, made up of members of the Bianchini family, under the direction of Professor Maria Auxiliadora Bianchini Leon; the month of the Virgin came to an end, with representatives of the Betania Foundation together with the Betania Communities of around the world. More than four hundred people participated in the Rosary via Internet, led by Mrs. Maria Coromoto Bianchini Marrero and her husband Mr. Carlos Marrero, who had summoned everyone for this special occasion.

After the prayer of the Rosary, Father Byerley spoke about one of the messages of Our Lady of Betania, from which the Servant of God Maria Esperanza instructed to put love in everything that is done, to obey the commandments of Jesus and not lose hope, because the Blessed Virgin was with everyone, protecting their families and loved ones. Afterwards, the Mini Betania Choir sang beautiful melodies dedicated to the Holy Spirit and the Virgin, and the little great-granddaughter of the Servant of God María Esperanza, María Paula, symbolically coronated the Mother of God.

With Mass and a sharing, members of the Betania Foundation celebrated the 10th anniversary of the opening of the cause of canonization of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza

On January 31st, 2020, the opening of the cause of canonization of the messenger of Our Lady of Betania, the Servant of God Maria Esperanza Medrano Bianchini, was recalled with a Mass at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Lomas de La Lagunita, in Caracas. Father Juan Carlos Silva, from Santa Rosalia Parish in Caracas, said during his homily: “Today we are remembering the Servant of God Maria Esperanza Bianchini. She frequently taught in the simple things of each day, in a small sharing, in an embrace, in a caress, in a word of hope. People changed their lives, because the kingdom of God was there, because Christ was there. You know that I am telling the truth because you saw it better than I. You are seeing that the kingdom of God does exist and will work wonders, where people respond with humility and faith.”

At the end of the Eucharist, which was accompanied by the music of the Betania Choir, two of the daughters of the Servant of God Maria Esperanza addressed the large group gathered in the chapel. Mrs. Maria Gracia Bianchini Gebran stated: “She truly taught us so many wonderful things, she shared so much love with each one of us here. To talk about her, about her love, about her charity, about her giving up so many things for others, not for herself, that is the example that we need.” For her part, Mrs. Maria Coromoto Bianchini Marrero invited to imitate her mother’s virtues “of hope, humility and unconditional love to her neighbor and the Church”.

Then, they gathered together in the residence of the Burgos family to celebrate the gift of the opening of the cause of canonization, of who has been the spiritual mother and example of life for all the members of the Betania Foundation and those who met her.
